Roszdravnadzor's involvement in launching a project to organise the quality control and safety of medical activities in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania.

A project to improve the quality of work of healthcare organisations has been launched in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. The Head of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Vyacheslav Bitarov and Igor Ivanov, the General Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Centre for Monitoring and Clinical and Economic Expert Examination” of Roszdravnadzor discussed the opportunities and special features of its implementation. Also, Olga Davydova, the Head of the territorial division of Roszdravnadzor for the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Mikhail Ratmanov, the Minister of Health of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, Larisa Revazova, the Chairman of the Committee on Social Policy, Health and Veterans' Affairs of the Parliament of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania took part in the business meeting.

The Republic became the first territorial entity in the North Caucasus Federal District where Roszdravnadzor’s project was launched.

"We have a realistic view of the situation and make our suggestions: what needs to be done to improve the quality of medical care in hospitals and outpatients' clinics in the region, how to reduce the number of complaints from patients who are often redirected from one institution to another or receive poor-quality medical care," Igor Ivanov, the Head of the "Centre for Monitoring and Clinical and Economic Expert Examination", explained to the attendees. — Our approach has been built as follows: a working group whose members are appointed by a regional ministry in charge is formed at the state level in the Russian Federation The group accompanied by the Centre for Monitoring reviews the work of all institutions and documents their weak points. As a result of the full assessment findings the head doctors will be able to organise correct operations within their organisations and the regional administrations will be given a set of criteria to evaluate the work of doctors."
