
Unregistered medical products
Two citizens were fined for selling unregistered medicinal products on the Internet in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The facts of uncontrolled sales of medicinal products via the Internet were revealed thanks to joint efforts of the local agency of Roszdravnadzor in the Republic of Bashkortostan and economic crime departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
After the check of the medicinal products seized as part of investigative activities it was discovered in the laboratory of the Federal State-Funded Institution Reference Center for Testing, Recording and Circulation Control of Medical Drugs and Devices of Roszdravnadzor (Kazan branch) that the medicinal products sold via the Internet had not been registered in the territory of the Russian Federation.
Administrative offense reports according to part 2 article 6.33 of the Administrative Offense Code of the Russian Federation (sales of unregistered medicinal products) on elicited illegal sales of unregistered medicinal products were drawn up and submitted to the court by the employees of the local agency of Roszdravnadzor of the Republic of Bashkortostan with respect to two citizens who organized illicit trade.
Having considered the materials provided by Roszdravnadzor, magistrates’ courts found the civilians guilty and imposed fine of 70 thousand rubles on each of them. The decisions of magistrates’ courts have come into legal effect.
