
Retail trade of non-food alcohol-containing products is limited in the Russian federation
The Chief Sanitary Officer of the Russian Federation has signed a decree No. 195 On Suspension of Retail Trade of Non-Food Alcohol-Containing Products dated December 23, 2016, as part of control powers over legal turnover of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products and on the orders of the Head of the Government of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Medvedev.
According to the decree, all legal entities and individual entrepreneurs must suspend the retail trade of non-food products containing ethyl alcohol in the share exceeding 25 percent of the product volume (except for perfume products and glass-cleaning liquids) for 30 days.
