Within the framework of co-operation between Roszdravnadzor and the MIA of the Russian Federation, the re-selling of expensive medicinal drugs was identified, amounting to ca. 55 billion RUB
In the course of the joint action involving the Central Administration on Economic Security and Combatting Corruption of the MIA of the Russian Federation, the Regional Administration on Economic Security and Combatting Corruption of the MIA of the Russian Federation in Saint Petersburg and Leningradskaya oblast, with the recruitment of Roszdravnadzor personnel, the reselling of expensive medicinal drugs Mabtera and Acellbia was identified; the aforementioned drugs were previously supplied to the GBUZ “City in-patient oncology center” of Saint Petersburg and to other healthcare facilities in the region under the federal “7 ICD codes” program.
The law enforcement authorities have so far revealed the fact of the illegal trade of 1364 packages of the aforementioned drugs amounting to 54,852,734 RUB; this is qualified as damage to the state on a massive scale.
Related proceedings for fraud on a massive scale were therefore initiated, and the investigation is ongoing.
Information from Roszdravnadzor: this reselling of expensive medicinal drugs was discovered due to implementation of the pilot project on medicinal drugs marking and tracing.
